THE MISSION OF THE SUPRAPARTY EXPERT GOVERNMENT WHY THE PROGRAMME FOR THE SALVATION OF SERBIA? WHO ARE WE ? We are an independent group of experts of different professions who are worried for the destiny of our people. We are neither a political party, nor a movement, nor an association, but the voice of reason, and we are ready to contribute to the restoration and renaissance of Serbia with our expert knowledge. We have organized ourselves around the idea - FOR THE SALVATION OF SERBIA. Dissolution and declining of both the Serbian nation and the Serbian State, decadence of middle-class values and destruction of the social existence by the regime, have forced us to gather around this idea. Our human and professional conscience does not allow us to be silent any more. We do not agree with the excommunication of Serbia from contemporary European life, and we will fight for its right share in Europe. WHY DOES PEOPLE WANT CHANGES ? The long-term unsuccessful policy of the regime, based on the totalitarian aspirations of its leadership to subdue all social life, has caused the greatest fall of the Serbian people in its history. The result of this arrogant and violent policy is that Serbia now stands at the edge of a precipice. Today Serbia is an unrecognized state, in which even 95% of population live at the boundary line of the the existential minimum. An average monthly salary in Serbia is 80 DM with a tendency of such a drastic decrease that in a few months it will reach the rate of 10-15 DM. It is very difficult to predict what the regime, isolated from the International Community and accused by it of war crimes, can do to its own people. Serbian people has no future with such a regime. Fear spreads throughout Serbia that the regime is ready to defend itself by violence, and therefore we want changes to be carried out at elections. The duty of International Community is to support the democratic forces in Serbia and enable Serbian people to be included into European integration. HOW TO ACHIEVE CHANGES ? Instead of unsuccessful attempts of opposition to get united around a political leader, which has brought to continuos disagreements, we are trying to gather citizens around an acceptable political and economic Programme for the Salvation of Serbia, through our knowledge and reputation. It is the basic difference between us and the existing opposition. ..
